INCLEMENT WEATHER POLICY
KCIC will be closed due to inclement weather in conjunction with the early dismissal and closing
decisions of the Kansas City MO School District. If it is announced in the local news, either on
the radio or television, that the KCMSD will be starting one hour late due to winter weather
then the KCIC offices will open one hour late. If KCMSD is closed because of a major winter
storm for an entire day then so shall KCIC. If KCMSD dismisses early, KCIC will close early. If,
however, the KCMSD is closed because of a non-storm related crisis, such as broken waterlines,
then KCIC shall be open during normal business hours.
