Food Pantry
People whose income is considered at poverty level are eligible for Food Pantry assistance. Center staff can assess applicants, who should bring current identification, proof of income, proof of adress, and social security cards for each household member.
Those who are Native need to bring their tribal card or papers. We service all local Missouri residents, Native and Non-Native alike, and Kansas residents who are Native. There is an application process that takes about 15 minutes (depending on the size of the family). Food distributed depends on what is available. It's mostly either non-perishable or frozen foods. Sometimes some personal hygiene items are also available.
People can donate food items to the pantry by simply bringing it to the center. It is best to call ahead to make sure we have someone available to help unload it. For more information, contact CSBG (food pantry) coordinator, at 816-421-7608.
